(I did indeed make a mistake on this reservation, and I sincerely apologized multiple times for it: When I sent out the confirmation, I was traveling and was in San Fran on a layover from Boston to Kona, and the form I pulled up for the directions was the wrong one and it did say “ocean view room”. Upon check-in, the guest insisted it was for an ocean view room. This one-night reservation was booked through Expedia and was booked for our Mountain Room. More Show lessĪloha! I would like to apologize for this guest’s experience. ![]() The breakfast was fantastic and mostly locally grown. On the positive, beautiful house and amazing view from the back porch. Shoved the printed copy of the itinerary at me to "prove" I didn't select ocean view. Told us we could use the back porch if we wanted to see the view and that it was already almost 6pm so we wouldn't see much anyway. Was offered suite(which still had no view) for $25 per night more even though he admitted it was his mistake(he was on vacation). Even got an email back saying such, but apparently didn't. Mountain view is of the parking area and trees. ![]() You have to stand in front of it to see the ocean. Ocean view in ocean view room is small, high window. ![]() No air conditioning, so if it's hot and humid you suffer until the sun sets. Go before dark because it's poorly lit, had to feel for the knobs through plants. Instead, it is a community shower 20 feet from the side of the house. When it says half bath and outdoor shower, I thought the shower would be attached to the outside of the room.
